OpenAI will access hundreds of thousands of Nvidia's AI chips through Amazon Web Services. The deal was announced Monday, just days after OpenAI changed its partnership with Microsoft. Last week, California and Delaware regulators allowed OpenAI to move forward with a new business structure to raise capital and make a profit. Amazon stated that the demand for computing power has surged due to AI advancements. OpenAI will start using AWS immediately, with plans to expand further by 2027.

France threatens to block Shein over sale of childlike sex dolls ahead of Paris store opening

Wall Street futures march higher as deal making takes spotlight from corporate earnings

SUMMARY: U.S. futures followed global markets higher ahead of another big week of corporate earnings reports but an absence of economic data as the U.S. government shutdown entered its second month. Futures for the S&P 500 gained 0.3% before the bell Monday, while Nasdaq futures advanced 0.6%. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average bounced back-and-forth between tiny gains and losses. Kimberly-Clark shares slid more than 15% after the it announced that it was acquiring Tylenol maker Kenvue in a cash-and-stock deal worth about $48.7 billion, creating a massive consumer health goods company. Kenvue shares jumped 19% on the news.

Flight delays persist as government shutdown leads to air traffic controller shortages
