BlackBerry Limited (NYSE:BB) division QNX introduced a Functional Safety (FuSa) platform designed for advanced robotic systems.

In collaboration with Intel and NexCOBOT, the platform integrates both robotic and safety controls onto a single NexCOBOT board.

This consolidation is intended to help manufacturers and developers reduce costs, minimize power consumption, enhance thermal efficiency, and lower the risk of hardware failures.

This advanced platform is designed to address the increasing need for integrated, safety-certified solutions in industrial automation and robotics.

Optimized for AI-powered environments, it delivers enhanced computing power and virtualization, supporting AI-driven vision systems, real-time motion control, and other critical robotic functions while adhering to safety certification standards.

Yesterday, QNX disclosed an expanded collaboration with Advanced Micro Devices to enhance performance in robotic systems and embedded devices.
